Gill Property Maintenance Services Ltd

1. General
These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Gill Property Maintenance Services Ltd ("we", "our", or "us") to our customers ("you" or "the client"). By booking our services, you agree to be legally bound by these terms.
2. Services
We offer a range of property maintenance and plumbing services, including but not limited to:
Plumbing repairs and installations
Gas boiler installations (via a certified Gas Safe engineer)
Bathroom refurbishments
Carpentry, tiling, electrical and decorating work
General property maintenance
All work is carried out to a professional standard and in line with applicable UK regulations.
3. Booking and Estimates
All quotations are free and non-binding unless otherwise stated.
Estimates provided are valid for 14 days.
We reserve the right to amend the estimate if the scope of work changes after inspection.
4. Payment Terms
Payment must be made on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For projects over £1,000, we may require a deposit of up to 50% prior to starting.
Payment methods accepted: bank transfer, cash, or agreed alternatives.
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
We require 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
If we must cancel or reschedule, we will notify you as early as possible and offer a new appointment date.
6. Access and Customer Responsibility
You must ensure access to the property during agreed times.
Any delays caused by restricted access or unsafe conditions may result in additional charges.
It is your responsibility to remove personal items from the work area to avoid damage.
7. Materials and Guarantees
Materials supplied by us remain our property until fully paid.
Most parts and labour are guaranteed for 12 months unless otherwise specified.
Manufacturer warranties apply to boilers and branded parts.
8. Liability
We are insured for public liability up to [insert your insured amount].
We will not be liable for:
Delays beyond our control (e.g., material shortages, extreme weather)
Existing faults in your property not caused by our work
Indirect or consequential losses.
9. Health & Safety
We operate in compliance with current UK health and safety legislation. Our staff and subcontractors will take all reasonable steps to carry out works safely.
10. Subcontracting
Where specialist certification is required (e.g., gas work), we may work with certified subcontractors. All such work is coordinated by us and guaranteed to the same standard.
11. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our work, please raise the issue in writing within 7 days. We aim to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
